Where Recovery Hub was when we started.

MENd needed a way to stay close to the men they support between formal touchpoints — without forcing them onto another loud, public platform with strangers and notifications.

Off-the-shelf wellbeing apps were either too clinical, too gamified, or designed for an audience that wasn't theirs.

The approach

What we actually built.

Designed a single-screen check-in flow tuned to take 90 seconds on a hard day — no streaks, no leaderboard, no shame.

Built a private user space showing the man's own trend over time, with thoughtful prompts and direct links back to the support that already exists at MENd Together.

Architected as a tightly-integrated extension of the MENd Together site, so the brand and trust signals carry across — not a separate product to learn.

The outcome

What changed because of the work.

Recovery Hub is now the quiet operational backbone of MENd's community work — used routinely by the men who'd otherwise drift away between sessions.

Retention numbers significantly outperform the wellbeing-app category average, because the product was designed around the specific people it serves, not the App-Store maximum.

It has also become a credible proof point when MENd applies for funding — evidence that the work has structure and longitudinal data behind it.
