The problem

Where Here. was when we started.

Most well-being apps are designed for the days you don't need them. The genuinely hard moments — 2am, after the argument, the panic-attack drive home — are exactly when those apps fail their users.

The brief was to build a product that performs in those moments, not one that performs in a demo.

The approach

What we actually built.

Designed the interaction model around emotional regulation first and app features second — pacing, language, colour temperature, and silence all chosen with intent.

Built a library of distinct support pathways so the right response surfaces for the right state, instead of a one-size-fits-all flow.

Engineered the system to feel slow and quiet on purpose — the opposite of the dopamine-loop economy most consumer apps optimise for.
